Officially confirmed: Els Llums de Sant Pau 2026/27 runs from 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027. This year’s theme is The Little Prince – the official light and immersive experience based on Saint-Exupéry’s story, premiering worldwide in Barcelona. Tickets are on sale now.

As the winter days shorten, Barcelona embraces the dark evenings with a spectacular illumination event: the Barcelona Light Festival: Els Llums de Sant Pau. Of the many installations spread throughout the city, the former hospital complex of Sant Pau is a location of prime interest, offering an immersive and unforgettable light-based spectacle.

A dance of lights at Sant Pau

In the heart of Barcelona, the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as a testament to the city’s architectural heritage. Every December, as part of Barcelona’s holiday celebrations, the site hosts Els Llums de Sant Pau, a captivating light festival that brings the modernist architecture to life.

Against the backdrop of domes, archways, and distinctive facades, an array of lights dance in harmony, offering an awe-inspiring spectacle of colour and design. It’s a visual symphony that brings together Barcelona’s rich history and innovative artistry, creating a unique holiday experience.

Opening hours

The Little Prince · Els Llums de Sant Pau is open from 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, with timed entry in the evening. The site is closed on 24 and 31 December 2026 and 5 January 2027. Allow 60–90 minutes for the route.

To make your visit more enjoyable, access will be in 30-minute intervals. Please show up at the time that appears on your ticket and log in within 30 minutes of the indicated time.
