At Christmas, Gaudí’s Casa Batlló on Passeig de Gràcia offers two very different experiences: A Winter Night, a ticketed evening visit with projections and storytelling inside the house, and a free light show on the façade that you can watch from the street. Here is what to expect in 2026/27, when to go and how to book.

What is A Winter Night?
A Winter Night is an evening visit to Casa Batlló with special lighting and projections in the main rooms. At the entrance you choose your audio: the story of Fermina, the house’s nanny, the story of Juan Carlos, a descendant of the Batlló family, or the regular audio guide about Gaudí’s architecture. The two stories are ideal if you have visited before or come with children.
The visit takes about an hour and a quarter. Children up to 12 enter free and get an augmented-reality tablet. Because the projections only work after dark, this is a very different visit from the daytime tour – and a good way to see the house with fewer people.
The free Christmas light show on the façade
During the Christmas period the famous façade becomes a screen: every half hour a short light and music show is projected onto the ‘dragon’ roof and the bone-like balconies, with music by Jordi Longán. The best view is from the opposite side of Passeig de Gràcia. Combine it with the Christmas lights on Passeig de Gràcia and Carrer d’Aragó, or follow our winter walk past La Pedrera to the Sagrada Família.
Tips for your visit
- Book online: tickets at the ticket office cost €4 to €15 more than online.
- Choose the first evening slot for a quieter visit, and check the special opening times on 24 and 31 December.
- Arrive by metro: Passeig de Gràcia station (L2, L3 and L4) is a two-minute walk.
- Combine with Els Llums de Sant Pau or the Christmas Bus Tour on the same evening.
